oh!BCN
2011

glass and gastronomy

A sweet week for mediterranean creativity, summarized in an unexpected match: glass and gastronomy.

oh!BCN 2011 gathered in Barcelona chefs, bakers, designers, glass artists and general public around food design and creativity

The week started with "innovation 'a la carte": a mix of creative lectures by Albert Adrià, Xavier Vega, Francesco Morace, Rafael Lamata and Christian Escribà

In the following days, four teams composed by artists, designers and bakers experimented with sugar and isomalt using glass work techniques. The results were exhibited during a crowded closing party in a specially decorated space. A food design event that showcased a live performance by Árbol, a videoart installation by Javier Milara and the exquisite food tasting by chef Iker Erauzkin.

Oh!BCN 2011 also proposed other activities: a conference at ADI-FAD, cocktail parties, exhibitions and parties all over the town.
